Associates
River Productions would not have been so successful were it not for our team of associate artists, listed below in alphabetical order. We believe in surrounding ourselves with trustworthy and talented individuals who also share our artistic vision.
George M. Baird, technical associate: George is a Glasgow-based freelance theatre technician who has worked at Stow College and various other companies as well as stage managing two of River Productions' shows and consulting on the others. George has travelled around the UK for work and created the portable lighting style for our most recent production, The Tragedy of Macbeth.
Sally Duguid, business associate: Sally started her career in food retail and has a passion for good food, good wine and anything creative. Her knowledge and experience in hospitality led to work in the events industry where she creates, develops and organises large-scale seasonal events. Using this as a springboard, she then moved into freelance consultancy helping businesses to enhance operational skills, marketing and creativity.
Luisa Guerreiro, performance associate: Luisa trained at Royal Holloway, University of London and Central School of Speech and Drama. Film and television credits include: Magnesium (Wyld Stallyons Productions), Dr. Seuss' The Cat in the Hat (The National Theatre, DVD release 2011), The Journey (Independent Drama Ltd), and work with Ragdoll Productions. Theatre credits include Tortoise and Hare (Tutti Fruiti, York Theatre Royal), The Tragedy of Macbeth, The Time Travelling Adventures of the Pirate Revlon Scarlet and Shakespeare Happens for River Productions, Dr Seuss' The Cat in the Hat (National Theatre), The Snow Queen (Channel Theatre), and Don't Let the Pigeon Drive the Bus! (USA and Canada tour, Edinburgh Fringe 2007).
Alison Hooper, design associate: Alison is River Productions' resident dogsbody. In addition to co-producing and acting (she has worked for River Productions, Wibbell, Thorpe Park, the BBC, talkbackTHAMES and Ridley Scoot), Alison is also a graphic designer. Her work includes publicity images for all of River Productions' shows, websites for the online jewellery store The Enchanted Locket, and hundreds of avatars and banners for the online vampire roleplay game The Abyss City, graphics for Greenwich Council, and children's story The Auralings by Cynthia Berst.
Dominic Ross, music associate: Dominic studied theatre at the University of Glamorgan and music production at the North East Surrey College of Technology. Throughout a ten-year career in theatre and music, his accomplishments include live acoustic performances across the UK and commissioned art installation pieces at the Camden Roundhouse (for photographic artist SLY). He has designed soundscapes and composed original scores for three of River Productions' shows.
